What once started as an idea for a blues rock band gradually formed into the funky grooves of Brass Mimosa. Featuring Jack Langlinais on drums, Jaron Marshall on keys, Ethan Mould on alto sax, Alex Camel on bass, Blake Pujol on guitar, Eddie Müller on trombone, and Olatunde Soyombo on baritone sax, Brass Mimosa, like most local bands, comes from humble beginnings. The band started off practicing in their bassist’s living room and graduated to regularly playing at almost every major venue in Lafayette and the surrounding areas. They have also had the pleasure of opening for several national touring acts such as Eyes Lips Eyes, Herman Astro, Snarky Puppy, and Shaun Martin. Having recently finished recording their first album entitled ‘Stay Sharp’ at the infamous Dockside Studios, Brass Mimosa is on the brink of a new era in funk!
