Blayze & Saddles is a country-western/honky tonk band from Lafayette, Louisiana, that’s likely to move even those less fond of the style. Drawing from the sounds of 1960s Bakersfield and the most notable of outlaws, they offer up a brand of country music not to be found anywhere else in the state, and perhaps not enough even in country music capitals. The group features members of other prominent local acts including Grammy-nominated Cajun band, Feufollet, swamp-pop super-group, Lil’ Band o’ Gold, and Indie Rock n’ Rollers, The Viatones. In the short time they’ve been together, the boys have already gathered quite a following, earning a reputation for their showmanship and antics, not to mention their sound. When described by others, people tend to find the same words: “Real Country Music.”
