Amy Nicole and Zydeco Soul

10:30 PM - 11:30 PM Sunday February 21, 2016

Amy Nicole was born and raised in South Louisiana. She currently resides in The Zydeco Capital of the World, Opelousas Louisiana. Amy is a female accordionist / vocalist that enjoys playing traditional Zydeco and Cajun music. She began learning to play accordion in 2013. She was inspired by some of the great Zydeco, Cajun, and Swamp Pop musicians in Louisiana such as Geno Delafose, Clifton Chenier, Rockin’ Sidney, Belton Richard, DL Menard, Tommy McClain (to name a few). Amy now headlines her own band “Amy Nicole and Zydeco Soul”. They play a variety of  traditional Zydeco and Cajun music, as well as variety of Country and  Blues. She released her debut album in 2014 titled “Just A Little Taste”. It includes her first original song titled “Hey Lil’ Daddy”, as well as a duet with Geno Delafose in a remake of the Lee Dorsey tune titled “Ya Ya’.  In 2015 she released two hot new singles titled  “Chicken Kissin” and “Leave Him Alone”. She hopes to release the full album in 2016. She and the band play locally as often as possible, as well as travel all across the country. They have enjoyed meeting people who share the love of authentic Louisiana Culture.
