Cedar Crest Ramblers + Whiskey Bay Rovers

9:30 PM - 9:30 PM Friday September 21, 2018

Come celebrate International Talk Like A Pirate Day with none other than The Whiskey Bay Rovers, Louisiana’s first and only pirate band, and Cedar Crest Ramblers!

The Whiskey Bay Rovers, specializing in drinking songs, sea chanteys, ballads, and pub songs, bring their mixed musical backgrounds to the stage in an effort to preserve the songs of a bygone era, bringing new ones to life as well as often putting a new spin on the old ones. Employing many a cappella arrangements with up to six part harmonies while using instrumental accompaniment of guitar, penny whistles, drums, and recorder on others, the Whiskey Bay Rovers provide a variety of song styles to quench your thirst for the sea. Besides, drinking too much salt water is bad for you anyway.

Cedar Crest Ramblers is inspired by sounds as diverse as jazz, blues, latin and bluegrass, these five folk heavyweights genre hop with unrivaled live energy and hipshaking grooves. Old will sound new, and new will take you to the heart of the American songbook. Prepare for an evening of high octane arrangements, sweet ballads, blistering rhythm and blues, swinging standards and hot licks.
