Originating from Baton Rouge, Ship of Fools draws its musical inspiration from a collection of mixed origins. Combining classically influenced composition with folk-inspired guitar, the band demonstrates a uniqueness of style that is hard to pin to just one genre or label. Raudol’s cello takes a lead melodic role that engages in skillful interplay with Michael’s finger-style guitar, Eric’s synthesizer and jazz-studied drumming, and Ashley’s powerful, controlled vocals to dynamically tie each musician together as one unit.
