Four completely different Lafayette bands swap and play each others’ songs! Join us for the 5th edition of this unique event!

 

Sour Sedans:

Sour Sedans is a rock, funk, and blues band composed of Lafayette, Louisiana local musicians Ryan Cazares, Flint Zerangue, Thylar Cahanin, and Eric Bospflug.

With influences ranging from the bands of the 1970’s to the present day, the foursome explores all depths of rock, from ballads to blues to alternative to anthems.

Brought together by a Craigslist posting, Sour Sedans look to help revitalize the rock scene of Lafayette.

 

Electric Rougarou:

Formed in January 2013, ROUGAROU (pronounced ‘roo-guh-roo’)is  a classic blues rock and soul cover band  based in limerick and Telford PA. The band is made up of veterans of the SE PA music scene. Rougarou has played venues such as Cutillo’s, Whitpain Tavern, Irish Rover Station House, New Britain Inn and other rooms in SE PA. They always get asked back!!  Rougarou brings a blues and jam band perspective to classic rock that  features stinging lead guitar, a bad to the bone rhythm section, and tops it off with Hammond organ and soulful vocals. They particularly taking a classic and ‘twisting’ it to bring something new. The band’s mission is to put on a dynamic, upbeat show with a focus on getting folks up and “movin’ and groovin’”. Rougarou likes to have a good time when they play and wants you to have one too!

 

Social Circle:

Social Circle is “a 5 piece synthpop outfit of Lafayette, LA. Born out of the fusion of multiple separate projects, Social Circle has achieved a premiere sound, combining the most modern electronic sounds, dancing arpeggegiators, and soaring synth waves, with the strongest feelings of nostalgia, influenced by late 80’s and early 90’s pop and R&B. Social Circle, on-record or on-stage, is unforgettable.”

 

Smoov Ras and the Reflection:

Smoov Ras is a reggae/hip hop artist from Lafayette, LA. Born in New Roads, LA, Smoov left the mystic, country life for a shot to prove his musical abilities in a bigger city. Before beginning his solo career, Smoov was a percussionist for various bands and choirs. One memorable moment was the 1st ever competition win with the WBRZ Regional choir competition as the drummer. Years later, he did not know that in his first year as an independent artist, he would have won the Valcour Records 2014 Songwriting competition. In the same year, he wouldn’t have guessed his first ever album being made, with an all-star band cast for support.
